Administration changed from $1200 to $1125- Council Luncheon increased from $50 to $75 and AFR fee of $100 was removed.
Education changed from $2000 to $1000 with the elimination of two scholarships. Discussion was that two of the four scholarships were added in recent years and this was an area where money could be saved.
Community Involvement changed to $2800. This will cover $700 quarterly for the following: September Dinner, December Breakfast, February Dinner and a last quarter teacher gift.
Total Expenses changed from $7700 to $6825
Proposed Balance to Carry Over changed from $7995.43 to $8870.43
Student Involvement (PTSA Student Leadership) - We would like to try this another year. The first meeting will be advertised for sometime during Back to School Night. We need to set a time and room number for this meeting and advertise it. Monthly Meetings will be held during Flex. We need to find someone to spearhead this and oversee the students.
Skyridge PTSA Donation for next year- We will come up with some options on the donation to Skyridge to start their PTSA. This will be done after the first of the year, closer to student registration, when the numbers of students attending each school are more accurate. The options will be put to a vote at the March General PTSA Meeting. Options discussed were splitting the money in half or prorating it according to number of students that will be attending each school.

They have both had some changes in their lives that may affect that now. Monica's family has some life changing medical issues at this time and Julie is looking for full time employment. Crystal told Julie she could help her with the Teacher Appreciation if needed.

Grad Night: Crystal bought lanyards for the first 100 kids that buy Grad Night tickets (incentive to buy early) She asked Eva to make the Grad Night tickets again and have them to her in about a week. Students would like to have Lazer Tag in Mower Tower. We decided that it would be too hectic with the lock down rules and to have 6-8 extra volunteers to manage it. The students would also like to have Pizza instead of Betos at Grad Night. We need to ask Pizza Hut if they would be able to accommodate that request or do half of the order Pizza Hut and the other half Betos. Karen has made a Google Form for Grad Night volunteers that will be sent out on May 1st and targeted to all Senior parents. The Booster Club donation of $500 needs to be given to us in cash so it can be used for the Deal or No Deal game. Mr. Barth and Mr. Mower will figure out how to get that to us because it is currently in the LHS funds. Crystal asked where the PTSA White boards are. Jana said she would check the minutes to find out which teacher has them.
5. Karen and Crystal asked Mr. Barth about the parking issues with visitor parking and seeing students park there on a regular basis. Is Carla still the parking attendant? Mr. Barth said that Carla is busy in the Spring with Softball and that more sophomores are driving to school now. He will try to rectify the situation.
6. Eva brought to Mr. Barth's attention that we as a PTA have had complaints about the front office staff not being very professional or friendly. Some parents have been treated very poorly by them. Fall’s teacher appreciation dinner was donated by Texas Roadhouse, but next year we might not be able to afford two dinners and a breakfast for the teachers, if we keep the same amount of money on the budget. It was suggested that if we eliminate the monthly appreciation gifts financially we would be okay. It was agreed that we would take that route.

2. Mr. Mower talked about the results of the Pace Report card. LHS earned a “D” from our SAGE test scores last year. He is not concerned about the grade because a lot of our students were not tested that are in the Concurrent enrollment program. The State had a coding problem for these classes so it drop a whole letter grade. There were a lot of the low income students that opted out and this caused a letter grade drop as well. State wide the grades were low and he isn’t concerned with the score.
3. Tanner talked about the 3-legged soccer that was held on Dec. 9th. They had about 20 students come to the lunchtime activity. It was fun but it soon turned into regular soccer. The student reps plan to have this as a monthly activity. They will meet on Jan. 27th to plan with the Reps.

1. Treasurer’s Report: The income from memberships has come in and we received $2680 and $1350
from movie ticket sales. Total income received this month was $4040. Expenses for Nov included

Reflections was $145.61, and $52.72 was spent on paper supplies and bottled water for the Texas
Roadhouse Teacher/Staff Lunch. We had a loss from the movie ticket sale of $1,174.75. Crystal said
she really enjoyed the movie and everyone she talked to has said they had a lot of fun attending. The
drawings and dressed up “Capitol” people made it more fun. She suggests to help recover the loss of
ticket sales we start fund raising for Grad Night thru donations from businesses. Ask Kathy to please
start sending out donation letters in January to our previous sponsors and all parents of seniors that
may have a business. Monica told us that she heard Kohl’s will donate $500 and send people to help set
up and take down events. Some were leery of that.
2. Mr. Barth told us that the teachers really appreciated the lunch and Topham did a great job of getting
teachers enthused about it. A lot of things are going on at the school. Christmas concerts, Jazz Bear
Shopping on the 20th etc. Please check website for all events.
3. Monica talked to Lisa Best about the food for the Teacher Breakfast on the 16. Lisa will need a check for
$487.50. We need to supply the paper goods. Lisa is bringing red and green table cloths. The Library

4. “Be the Change” is an all day event on Friday, Jan. 23rd. The goal of this program is to unite the school
by doing unifying activities. All clichés will be erased for that day. In the past it has been a very fun and
emotional day. 80-100 students will attend and 10-15 parent volunteers. Students can be nominated
by teachers or counselors. They can also sign themselves up and if a parent volunteers, their student
can attend. Lunch needs to be provided for this event. Karen said she would talk to Vern at Chic-Fil-A

left. Taryn Royall (a student) is in charge of this event.

Ball Play Off’s will be at UVU on Nov. 7-8. On Friday they will play at 9am and Noon. Students are encouraged to

supposed to align with the ACT. This has been a learning year for SAGE and we will see scores coming in faster for
this year. It’s a learning curve. (See more in #7)
4. Dustin Topham, our teacher Rep, was able to enroll 100% PTSA Teachers and Staff!!!! Texas Roadhouse will

and Jennifer Corrington. Dustin will be making a video to promote the movie premier of “Mocking Jay Part 1” on

their commitment, involvement, etc…
7. Keturah went to the Advocacy Conference and said it was AMAZING. The first portion was dedicated to SAGE and
all of the info on that. You can go to UtahPTA.org and see a slideshow
for advocacy link to find out more about SAGE and how to read the reports. His was the first year of the test so
there was a lot more work involved. Results will be immediate from this time forward. This is to diagnose
students and not to “Grade” Schools or Teachers. It’s an individualized test for each student. She went to the
Suicide Prevention Workshop. This is the first year for our Hope Squad. The highest account of suicide in Utah

Tanner Wyatt and Matthew Russon
Minutes were reviewed. Kathy made a motion by phone to accept and Crystal seconded it. Minutes were accepted.
1. Treasurer’s Report: The income from memberships has come in and we received $2680 and $1350
from movie ticket sales. Total income received this month was $4040. Expenses for Nov included
Veterans Day Flags and Poster of $62.55, Markers $6.37, Drawings for the movie premier was $52.72,
Reflections was $145.61, and $52.72 was spent on paper supplies and bottled water for the Texas
The Library
has been scheduled and Monica and Julie will set up Monday at 1pm and help serve Tues at 6:20am.
Karen said she would talk to Vern at Chic-Fil-A
and see what they would be willing to donate. We will try to fill in any holes in the luncheon that are
left. Taryn Royall (a student) is in charge of this event.
5. Student Reps: Tanner thanked everyone for the Veteran’s Day Activity and hopes to have better
attendance in the future. Tanner, Matthew, Kaela, Dallin, Devon, Jennifer, and Kathy helped placed the
flags. Jana, Marisa, and Scott Nelson placed the poster later that night. The next activity will be next
Tuesday during lunch and will be 3-legged soccer in the South Gym. They are going to try to make
posters and have it announced. Karen said she had an old fitted sheet they could use to make the strips
for the leg ties.
6. Eva wanted us all to know about smiles.amazon.com—receive 0.5% directly to LHS PTSA Bank
Account. When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you will find the exact same low prices, vast selection
and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a
portion (0.5%) of the purchase price to your favorite charitable organization. When choosing a charity
look for PTA Utah Congress Lehi high PTSA. You use the same account on Amazon.com and
Smile.Amazon.com. Your shopping cart, wish list, wedding or baby registry, and other account settings
are also the same. You have to go into the smile.amazon.com website instead of the regular
amazon.com website each time you buy in order to have donations go to our PTSA charity account.
This information will be given to Dianne and put in the newsletter.

all of the info on that. You can go to UtahPTA.org and see a slideshow
for advocacy link to find out more about SAGE and how to read the reports. His was the first year of the test so
there was a lot more work involved. Results will be immediate from this time forward. This is to diagnose

Suicide Prevention Workshop. This is the first year for our Hope Squad. The highest account of suicide in Utah
